Søholm Stentøj, or Soholm Stoneware, boasts a rich history dating back to the early 17th century on Bornholm, Denmark's pottery and ceramics hub. Established in 1835 by Herman Sonne Wolffsen and Edvard Christian Sonne in Rønne, Bornholm, this venerable ceramic factory remained in operation until its closure in 1996.
The name "Søholm" originated from the founders' earlier employment at a faience factory near Copenhagen from 1828 to 1839, with a lease taken in 1834. Throughout its existence, Søholm produced an extensive array of stoneware, showcasing various designs and forms.
